MAIIND

The Master's in Automation Engineering and Industrial Informatics is a three semester training programme (90 ECTS) for students interested in the development of the potential of new technologies in industry, ranging from the engineering and development of advanced automation systems to the design of complex monitoring and quality control systems, paying particular attention to the application of information and communication technologies in such facilities at every level.

Who is the Master's directed at?

20 places are offered to engineering graduates interested in

  • the automation of machines and processes,
  • the advanced application of industrial informatics for optimal design, development, implementation and maintenance of plant production systems, and
  • the use of advanced instrumentation and sensory information processing to develop innovative solutions for monitoring, inspection and quality control of products and processes.


Professional Character

The Master's is designed from a professional development perspective, providing students with the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills necessary for their immediate application in the workplace. As a consequence, special emphasis will be placed on training with real equipment and the use of advanced tools and technologies that will address specific key problems in the automation and monitoring of complex processes.

Company Training

We have established collaboration agreements with leading companies in different professional fields (producers, equipment manufacturers, software engineering, systems integrators etc.). These partners will collaborate with the teaching, providing their knowledge and field experience and will offer visits, internships (12 ECTS) and master's thesis proposals (18 ECTS) about projects of interest to the topics of the Master's.
